National Night Out

National Night Out is October 4, 2016

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-police awareness-raising event held all over the United States. NNO in San Antonio is October 4. MVHA encourages residents to attend an event or even better, to host one. It’s not difficult: just notify the neighbors in your block or your street of the date, time and location. Ask everyone to bring a snack, dessert or covered dish. The host can provide beverages or ask for help.  Pretty much an old fashioned potluck.  The main purpose of this event is to get neighbors together.  See old friends.  Make new friends. It helps create a stronger neighborhood and a stronger sense of community for neighbors who may not know each other. MVHA also participates in the event at Laurel Heights United Methodist Church.  Whatever you do, PARTICIPATE! And be sure to leave the front porch light on!  For more information, check out this site: http://www.sanantonio.gov/SAPD/NationalNightOut.aspx
