Dolly moved to Monte Vista in March of 2000 after living in Mahncke Park for 17 years. She looked at over 70 homes before finding the perfect home on Hollywood Avenue that had been kindly and exquisitely restored. As so many are in Monte Vista, she loves being the “caretaker” of her home for the next generation. After 37 years in the competitive telecommunications industry, Dolly "thought" she had retired in October of 2015, but quickly realized she loved organizing people and things so she bought a franchise called Tailored Living featuring PremierGarage in 2016. Her first year on the board was 2015 which is also the year she chaired the 2015 Fall Home Tour as well as worked on the committee to establish a new agreement and relationship with the San Antonio Public Library and the Landa Library as well as the re-design and development of the MVHA website that will launch in early 2016. If you ask her what she loves about living in Monte Vista the first thing you will hear is beauty—the homes, the landscapes, the diversity, but most of all the people. The more you get involved, the more opportunities you have to meet great neighbors and friends.
