Diane Fuqua

Diane is a retired early childhood teacher where she spent over 40 years in at the primary level and in teacher education programs in Virginia and San Antonio.  She also worked with Head Start in San Antonio and now spends much of her time as a CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocate, tutoring at an elementary school, and serving on two Boards of non-profits.  Diane was on the board in early 2000 and returned in 2014.  She presently serves as our Recording Secretary and coordinates all of our 3rd Thursday socials.  Diane has also been a House Captain for several Monte Vista Fall Home Tours including the 2015 tour.  She has also co-chaired the 4th of July Parade and Picnic for several years.  Diane is a very social and organized person!  She and her husband, Wendell, moved to Monte Vista in December of 1998.  She loves the historic homes and the beautiful trees, especially the many magnificent live oaks.  An avid walker, Diane enjoys the sidewalks and walking through the neighborhood as well as our incredible accessibility to downtown, the airport and points north. The MVHA has also made it very easy to get to know many neighbors, and it’s the people who really make a neighborhood a good place to live.
