308 West Summit Avenue

308 West Summit Avenue
Constructed in 1920 for builder-architect James Coleman, this home has many details of a craftsman bungalow, but its tile roof, stucco exterior and parapets give it a decidedly Spanish flair. Situated on nearly half an acre with both a pool and a guesthouse, its original interior has been maintained with three bedrooms, two baths, a sleeping porch, enclosed lanai and a spacious parlor and dining room. In 1921 the house was purchased by Senator D. Leon Harp who, with his wife and daughter, lived in the home more than 70 years.
