134 West Elsmere Place

134 West Elsmere Place
This beautiful 3-story English-Tudor style home was built in 1930 by Architect Richard Ven der Straten. It has four bedrooms and 5-1/2 bathrooms. The exterior bricks form chevron patterns that compliment the cross timbers. The colors of exterior house paint were chosen to compliment the colors of the bricks and the slate roof tiles. The floor tile in the entryway is a replica of tile at the McNay Art Museum. The dome over the stairs, original to the house, is painted with the night sky and stars, similar to the ceiling of the Majestic Theater.
